Logging into play Fortnite on console today, a lot of players are being hit with a new error. When they launch the game ready to hop into rounds of Battle Royale, they might be greeted by a big warning screen. An error saying “Unable to sign into your PlayStation account Fortnite”. What exactly can you do?
This current error is locking quite a few players out of their Fortnite accounts. What can be done? It seems to be an error in communication between PlayStation’s account system and the Fortnite accounts. There are a few fixes you can run through if you want to get back into your game though.

How to Fix Unable to Sign into Your PlayStation Account Fortnite
What is this error that’s popping up in Fortnite at the moment? Some players have been experiencing a problem when launching the game on PlayStation, where they can’t connect to their Epic account. What can you do if you experience this error?
Problems like this are always irritating since they keep you out of the game as a whole. However, there are some things you can do. These are some solutions:
- Ensure your PlayStation software is up to date
- Sign out of PSN and back in
- Restart your internet connection
- Ensure your DNS settings are correct or switch to a public DNS
- Clear your PlayStation Cache
The last one is a bit more of a process. Definitely worth going through if you can’t log in and access any of your Fortnite skins though. To do this, these are the steps:
- Turn your PS5 off
- While off, press and hold the power button
- It’ll boot back up in safe mode after around 7 seconds
- Connect your controller using a cable
- Go to the Clear Cache option
- Select Clear System Software Cache
- Click Ok
Once it’s powered back up, open up Fortnite and you should be able to connect! These are the solutions Epic has for the unable to sign into your PlayStation account Fortnite problem. Clearing everything is a bit of a pain, but if you experience this error then this should help to fix it.
