Over the last year, we’ve seen most of the major fighting franchises get new sequels. However, the smaller fighters that have captured so many players’ hearts in between are now getting a turn with new releases. Soon, we’ll be getting a Rivals 2 Open Beta. Followed by a wide release for the title. Rivals is one of the best fighters of its type and it’s getting a bit upgrade.
Rivals 2, or Rivals of Aether 2 as its full title is one of the upcoming fighting games that’s most appealing. The game is a sequel to the fan favourite title, making quite a few improvements. There are returning mechanics but shields and grabs are being added, along with a big boost in visuals as the game switches to 3D models rather than 2D.
When can you try all of this out? We’re currently really close to the full release date of the game, but an Open Beta has been announced. This is how you can take part in it.
Rials 2 Open Beta
The Rivals 2 Open Beta has been announced as coming over September 27-29. It’ll be a trial run of the game before the full release next month.
This open beta is only going to be active for players who sign up in advance. This can be done through Steam. Since we’re fairly close to the release of the game, we can expect a more polished open beta here. Will the beta will give an opportunity to further balance characters, we can expect most of the game to be handling and playing like it will on launch. It’s a lot more polished than the recent 2XKO open beta. This will make the Rivals 2 Open Beta a great chance to try the title out ahead of its release.
When Does it Release?
The Rivals 2 Open Beta will be a fun test, but the game will be coming to its full release pretty soon too. The release date for the game is October 23rd. So, we don’t have long to wait until it releases.
