The Fortnite Dragon Ball collab is one of the most popular crossovers we’ve ever seen. Fittingly it’s back all the time, especially with more and more skins getting added. However, one item wasn’t coming back very often. The Fortnite Nimbus Cloud glider.
The Nimbus Cloud, or Kintoun, is Goku’s preferred most of transport until he learns to fly. The glider is iconic as part of Goku’s original design, just like the Power Pole. So much so, it was eventually added as an in-game item alongside the Kamehameha. However, it might have been this in-game item that caused the Cloud to go missing for such a long time.
While we’ve seen Goku in the Fortnite Item Shop quite a few times, his Nimbus Cloud has been missing. However, it seems Epic is trying to correct its mistake. They’ve just given out the Fortnite Nimbus Cloud to everyone who purchased Goku back in August.
What’s Gone on With the Fortnite Nimbus Cloud?
The Nimbus Cloud Glider has been the source of quite a bit of hassle. Most recently, it was bugged. This meant players who purchased the Goku bundle didn’t receive it at all. However, Epic’s recent update has rectified this adding it in for everyone who was affected.
In the first place though, the Nimbus Cloud caused problems. There were quests in-game asking players to glide on the Nimbus Cloud. The intention was to use the in-game item, no purchase necessary. However, some players interpreted this as being linked to the paid Fortnite Item Shop glider, and bought the item thinking it was needed.
The Nimbus Cloud is one of the rarer Dragon Ball items. In the time since that mix-up up though, we’ve had plenty of matching in-game and item store items, like the Ninja Turtle collab weapons. The Nimbus Cloud item hasn’t been back since either, which should open the way for the item to return to the normal Dragon Ball items rotation. With Epic sorting out its current bug too, the Nimbus Cloud should be free to use again for the pure of heart.
