After bringing LoL Patch 14.19 to the live servers, Riot is making some micropatch changes to balance out some of the outliers.
Micropatch changes to Patch 14.19
Worlds 2024 is currently underway and for the first time in many years, pros are playing on the same patch as the community. Riot Games developers have brought a long series of changes for this update, with the hopes of shaking up the meta, creating new interactions, and increasing diversity for the biggest tournament of the year.
Following the release of the patch, however, Riot already brought micropatch changes to adjust the outliers, namely Corki, K’Sante, and Tristana. All three champions were heavily nerfed due to their strong presence in professional play, but it ended up killing the champions in normal play. For example, K’Sante’s win rate tanked close to the 44% mark.
According to game designer Riot Phroxzon, Riot has noticed increases in “time to kill” which helps the game feel less lethal and they will be waiting a bit longer to make more changes as they are monitoring build optimization. In the meantime, you can check out the micro patch changes, which are already live.
Patch 14.19 Micropatch changes
Champion changes
Corki
- Q damage: 70 – 250 ⇒ 70 – 270
- E damage: 100 – 280 ⇒ 100 – 300
K’Sante
- Armor: 33 ⇒ 36
- Q damage: 70 – 190 + 35% resists ⇒ 80 – 200 + 40% resists
- W stun: 0.5 – 1.5 seconds ⇒ 0.5 ⇒ 1.75 seconds
- E shield: 50 – 250 + 10% bonus HP ⇒ 80 – 240 + 15% bonus HP
Tristana
- Passive range: 0 – 125 ⇒ 0 -150
- Q mana: 50 ⇒ 30 – 50
- W mana: 50 ⇒ 30 – 50
- W AD ratio: 0.75 ⇒ 1.0
Amumu
- W base damage per second: 14 ⇒ 10
- E base damage: 65 – 205 ⇒ 65 – 185
The buffs to Corki and Tristana will likely put them into a spot to become relevant as counterpicks, but they shouldn’t have much presence anymore, even at the higher Elos. K’Sante’s buffs were well-needed, but the champion is currently in a bad state post-rework and it will still require some time to figure out his sweet spot. Unless you love the champion, he’s probably not your go-to pick for top lane.
Amumu, on the other hand, has finally been nerfed. His damage with the AP build has been obnoxious for quite a few patches, so glad they are nerfing his early-mid-game power and bringing him more in line with the rest of the jungle pool.
