VALORANT crashing on a PC is a very common issue and it has also made its way to the Xbox console. In fact, many players have been encountering this problem as we’ve spotted numerous posts on Reddit recently. Thankfully, Riot Games and Xbox Support have finally acknowledged it and suggested a simple fix to resolve the issue. Here’s how to get rid of VALORANT crashing on Xbox.
VALORANT crashing on Xbox causes and fixes
Update: Riot Games has identified and deployed a patch to Xbox players addressing crashing issues. The patch will reinstall the game on your system so please allow for an extended download time.
As of writing this article, it seems like VALORANT crashing on Xbox is simply a bug that is, unfortunately, beyond the control of the developers. Therefore, they have suggested to uninstall VALORANT and reinstall again on your console. Xbox Support, in an official Tweet, mentioned that “We are aware that some users are experiencing issues playing VALORANT. Thank you for your patience! Please follow along here and on our status page for updates.”
However, it’s important to mention that the aforementioned method is a temporary fix and it’s quite possible that you will encounter the Crashing issue again. Therefore, we highly recommend waiting until the next update in which developers will probably fix this bug. Thankfully, there’s no harm in deleting the game as your entire progress is saved in the Riot Games server. So, if you have high-speed internet and enough bandwidth to download VALORANT again, you can definitely give this method a shot.
- Press the Xbox button on your controller.
- Select My games & apps from the menu.
- Choose either Games or Apps to view your installed items.
- Find VALORANT in the last.
- Finally, select Uninstall from the pop-up menu.
The entire process will roughly take less than 30 minutes depending on your internet speed. Make sure to avoid playing any online game while VALORANT is downloading in the background; otherwise, you will more likely face high ping issues.
