What are Brawl Stars Dead Boxes?
First off, what even is a Dead Box? It’s a Halloween themed treasure chest filled with awesome Brawl Stars loot. These special boxes could contain coins, gadgets, star powers, brawlers, and of course, some creepy Halloween cosmetics.
Now, here’s the fun part—you can earn 10 Dead Boxes for free by teaming up with the whole Brawl Stars community. Working with random Brawlers can be rough, but let’s get into how you can help unlock those Dead Boxes!

All about the Brawl Stars Dead Game Event
The Dead Game event is live in Brawl Stars right now and runs until Oct. 31. Your mission is to help the community rack up 20 billion takedowns. The event comes with a humorous tone as many players ask, “Is Brawl Stars Dead.”
All you have to do is jump into the special Halloween-themed game modes and start taking down as many opponents as possible. Each takedown counts toward the community’s total, so every knockout brings us closer to those Dead Boxes.
New Game Modes for Extra Fun
As part of the Brawl-O-Ween celebration, three chilling new game modes have been introduced:
- Pumpkin Plunder
- Dead Weight
- Zombie Brawl
All takedowns in these game modes count as double, speeding up the community’s progress toward unlocking Dead Boxes. Talking about new elements in game, Brawl Stars just gave its Trophy System a major overhaul as well.
Event Milestones
The Dead Game event has a few key milestones that come with exciting rewards:
- 5 billion takedowns: Double XP for the Brawl Pass
- 10 billion takedowns: A Hypercharged Starr Drop
- 15 billion takedowns: Double Starr Drops for everyone
- 20 billion takedowns: 10 free Dead Boxes, to be given out on Oct. 31
With Brawl Stars having a huge player count, achieving that figure shouldn’t be very tough for the community.

What’s Inside the Dead Boxes?
Dead Boxes are packed with spooky surprises, including:
- Coins
- Gadgets
- Star Powers
- Hypercharges
- Brawlers
- Cosmetics tailored for the season
Additionally, the event features the return of Brawl-O-Ween skins, including the latest eerie additions: Putrid Pam, Gruesome Gus, and Decaying Dynamike. These skins will be available for purchase in the shop during the event.

Dead Game Giveaway
In true Brawl Stars fashion, the event also includes a giveaway where five lucky players will win every single item from the Dead Boxes. To enter, players must post a screenshot or video of themselves playing the event’s game modes using the hashtags #DEADGAME and #BRAWLSTARS.
