Fortnitemares is not over yet, but the future for Fortnite could include more of the same. An interesting note regarding what Epic Games is going to do after the Halloween-themed event is over has surfaced. It has players questioning what’s next and what it could all mean. Epic Games usually plans things well in advance, and their little teaser seems to indicate that something is brewing.

Fortnite Teases Post-Fortnitemares Future
According to leaker HYPEX, the Fortnitemares blog, which details everything the event entails and when it will end, has a secret note at the bottom of it. Most players didn’t notice it until it was brought to their attention several days after the blog went live.
In it, Epic wrote, “Fortnitemares is only the beginning of the end-of-year party.” The Halloween event is ending at the end of the month, but Epic Games anticipates a lot more fun in 2024.
Obviously, the next immediate thing on the calendar is Fortnite OG 2. This will immediately follow Chapter 5 Season 4, which concludes the chapter.
After OG, Chapter 6 will arrive. Based on that blog, there could be more events planned throughout the rest of the year. It’s difficult to speculate, but it is very likely that, at the very least, Epic brings back Winterfest. This has been a yearly event themed around the Christmas holiday that players love. It would be a surprise if this wasn’t brought back in December after OG 2, but it’s unclear if this is what the blog post is referring to.
Regardless, it is clear that Epic isn’t going to ride out the remaining months. They have things planned akin to Fortnitemares, and that bodes well for players. Epic has always been a developer that listens to and tries to keep providing for the player base. It seems as if they’ve committed to doing that at a higher level for the next few months. With OG and Winterfest, this could be an exciting time for the video game and its community.
