What’s good E.T Fam?! I hope that everyone is doing well, and not letting this latest shakeout sway your convictions. In the past 24 hours, we’ve seen yet another correction occur with BTC. Keep in mind that these leverage corrections are healthy. They not only provide great discount opportunities, they also extend the bull run. Great on-chain analysts like Will Clemente, Tech Dev, and others have been doing an awesome job keeping us updated on the overall outlook of the market.
Though this is nothing to be worried about in the grand scheme of things, there is a valuable lesson to be learned. A lot of retail investors make the mistake of buying BTC and other altcoins at the ATH, and hoping that the pump will continue. The problem is that when the dip eventually happens, they are left without any powder to take advantage of the discounts. I’ve stressed time and time again, how dangerous buying in at the ATH is. The results are usually the same every time.
It can be argued that if one holds long enough, today’s prices and market cap will look like a simple drop in the bucket. However, those who buy at the ATH rarely approach the market with this mindset. They buy in, prices drop, they get shaken out, and they leave the space. This is the textbook definition of how to get Rekt. Do not fall into this trap.
When things are at an all time high, it is better to just respect the pump for the time being and wait on the inevitable dip to present itself. The race is not awarded to the swift. It is rewarded to the disciplined. Have a great day Fam!
