BLEED‘s CS2 roster has gone public to accuse the organization of massively delayed salaries to its players, as well as missed payments to other organizations for buyouts. In a statement released by head coach kassad, the roster of jkaem, CYPHER, vldn, and nexa have gone public “After months of attempting to resolve our internal issues privately.”
BLEED roster cuts ties with organization
The statement by kassad revealed that the alleged delayed payments from BLEED were a problem from the outset. Most of the team who signed in December 2023 were allegedly not paid until April 2024, with bootcamps being paid and organized by kassad and the players themselves. He also claims that other organizations are yet to receive buyout payments for several players from BLEED. All of the above has contributed to a damaged reputation in the scene, leading to many players to refuse to consider joining BLEED.
According to kassad, BLEED has “repeatedly lied about payments, made empty promises, and kept us hoping things will get better. But now, the “CEO has disappeared from the face of the earth, and nobody can find him,” with the roster “consulting with our legal team to determine our next steps.” In the meantime, the former BLEED CS2 roster has cut ties with the organization, and will compete in its next two events (RES Regional Champions and Thunderpick World Championship 2024) under the name UNPAID.
It marks another piece of bad news for the BLEED organization after it was recently removed from the VCT Pacific.
