After recently announcing a strategic pivot to Telegram and its underpinning TON blockchain, Delabs Games has unveiled the first games the studio will launch on the messenger platform.
Marking the start of Delabs’ new business strategy focusing on Telegram-based midcore games, the team has secured a publishing deal for the popular South Korean IP Ragnarok. The first well-known game IP developed and published by Delabs, its adaptation will emphasise Ragnarok‘s maze exploration elements, while also integrating a deeper rewards system that spans beyond mere participation.
Delabs Games CEO Joonmo Kwon commented, “Bringing Ragnarok to Telegram marks a bold step in our strategy to bring well-known IPs and adventure-filled games directly to players where they’re already connecting.”
“With Ragnarok, we’re creating an experience that’s not only true to its roots, but also enhanced by web3 features – without any added complexity.”
While the exact Ragnarok game hasn’t been announced, a reverse search of the provided artwork suggests that Delabs’ game will be Ragnarok Labyrinth, which was released in the form of Ragnarok Labyrinth NFT by original IP owner Gravity in 2022, but it’s since been shut down.
For the record, another blockchain-enabled Ragnarok game is mobile MOBAlite Ragnarok: Monster World, which is currently live on the Ronin blockchain.
As part of its future roadmap, Delabs has also unveiled mobile sports game Boxing Star, which gained notable traction under Delabs’ parent company 4:33 Creative Labs.
Backed by fresh funding from TON Foundation and private investor Noah Kim, the forthcoming game launches on Telegram are scheduled for 2025, with Ragnarok coming in Q1, and Boxing Star dropping in Q3 2025.
In the meantime, the development of Delabs’ two previously announced games Space Frontier and Metabolts have been halted.
