With Dota 2 Patch 7.37d dropping on Oct. 1, Dota 2 fans also received a second wave of Crownfall Collector’s Cache sets with the release of Crownfall Collector’s Cache II. These sets are leftovers (presumably) from the initial wave of cache voting, and honestly, we think these are some of the best sets to date.
But beyond this, it’s also a chance to get your hands on the Kid Invoker persona, and, for the first time since its initial release, the wolf Crystal Maiden persona.
How To Get the Dota 2 Crownfall Collector’s Cache II Sets
As of the release of Dota 2 Patch 7.37d, you can purchase Crownfall Collector’s Cache II treasures for $2.49 each, or 13 for $28.99. You can also exchange 12 Crownfall Store Coins you’ve earned for around $7 of discount, but we’d recommend saving them for the Arcanas. It’s unknown if there’s a way to earn Treasures through the Crownfall map at this time, or if Crownfall Act IV might bring a new way to earn them. You can also recycle any six unopened set for another Cache chest.
All Sets In the Dota 2 Crownfall Collector’s Cache II
Igneous Infernal – Doom
As if Doom didn’t already look scary enough, now he’s made of rock so you can’t even hurt him. Not that it ever feels like I’m doing anything to a Doom in my pub games.
Bleeding Edge – Huskar
This look for Huskar is really unexpected, as many of his sets lean into the more bestial and savage nature of the hero. But with this full samurai getup, Huskar looks like a dangerous warrior you wouldn’t want to meet on the battlefield.
Magus Mimicry (Persona) – Invoker
Honestly, the kid Invoker sets always look fantastic, and this is no different. We love how bratty he looks here, and the mean faces on his orbs. But obviously the best part about rolling this set is getting the rest of the Persona for free, which is a great deal.
Seam Ripper Snuggle Time – Warlock
We’re trying very hard not to notice the similarities between this Warlock set and a certain League of Legends champion, but we’re afraid that if we did, we’d restart a flame war that’s taken almost a decade to downplay. Besides, Annie is just a rip off of Warlock anyway…
Angler in the Abyss – Slark
There needs to be more angler-fish themed sets, and Slark is the perfect place to start. Is there one for Slardar as well? We can’t remember. Basically, lets roll them out for Naga and Tidehunter next.
Phantom Balladeer – Abaddon
There’s been some great tie-ins to Muerta’s aesthetic in recent workshop sets, but this Abaddon is definitely one of the best. There’s so many great details from the coins and lotuses on his clothes to the skeleton painted on his horse!
Bootblack Brawler – Axe
We get it Axe, Deadlock is the hot new game. But you can’t just put on a top hat and switch games, Dota needs you. Look, we’re even letting you smoke a cigar in this game! Try that in another MOBA…
Needlepoint Necromancer – Dazzle
It really is spooky season, and this October 1st release has embraced that. Dazzle isn’t usually a spooky, scary kind of hero in our opinion, but he’s doing his best here, and those teeth are certainly nothing to mess with.
Hare of the Cog – Clockwerk
I’m a simple man. Give me two puns in your sets name and I’ll like it. Plus rabbit (hare?) Clockwerk is adorable.
Thundervolt – Zeus
The idea of Zeus just being a mad scientist who thinks he’s a god is really cool. Again, it’s the details that really make this set, the clock belt, the tools. Just a really gorgeous set.
Caprine Chimera – Lion
Lion skins that actually make him look like a messed up demon are always some of the best, and this more hellenic, mythology inspired-look is amazing.
Canis Crystallum (Persona) – Crystal Maiden
If you haven’t got your hands on the Crystal Maiden person this is your chance. The Dog is already one of the most incredible sets in Dota 2, and adding more effects and a more unique costume makes it even better.
Unchained Entropy – Ancient Apparition
Ancient Apparition here showing their love for Silent hill with their very own pyramid head cosplay.
Undying Love (Rare) – Undying
This is such a great concept for a set. Undying can sometimes be a bit of a boring hero visually, or goofy, or otherwise dull. Adding this spirit woman embracing him (Muerta, is that you?) really adds something powerful to the aura of this cosmetic.
Crystal Collossus (Very Rare) – Spirit Breaker
Finally a Spirit Breaker set that makes him look as mean as the average SB player acts. When you spend 20 minutes getting charged from across the map by someone with this set, you’re really going to remember it.
Second Hand Sorcery (Ultra Rare) – Rubick
Last, but definitely not least, this post-child Rubick skin is likely not going to dethrone the Arcana for anyone who has it, but for those who don’t it’s the next best thing!
