A few days ago, popular recording artist Sabrina Carpenter was back in Fortnite with the Caffeinated emote from the Espresso song. She already had Sonic Surfer and a Jam Track, but Epic Games gave her another emote. Unfortunately, after some fan backlash, it was removed. Based on the latest update, however, it will be back and available for purchase soon.
Fortnite Bringing Back ‘Caffeinated’ Emote from Sabrina Carpenter’s Espresso
The complaint around the Fortnite emote Caffeinated stemmed from fans being upset that it featured sped-up audio. The song has probably been heard by everyone at this point, but Epic Games implemented a slightly different version. Players would have preferred the original sound, and they let Epic know. As a result, the developers temporarily removed it. Now, it’s coming back.
According to prominent leaker ShiinaBR, it will be back after the new season drops. On November 2, Fortnite Remix will debut (Chapter 2 OG). When that happens, the Item Shop should have the Sabrina Carpenter emote back.
The Fortnite leak also indicated that it would have the normal audio from the song. It won’t be sped up at all. It’s unclear what Epic will do with the original, sped-up version they made.
People did purchase it, so they may offer a refund ticket since they’re changing the audio. It stands to reason that even those who bought the old version will have it swapped out for the new one, hence the potential refund ticket. This will all be clear in a little over a week when Chapter 5 Season 4 ends and Remix arrives.
This is a leak, but it’s based on the very real fact that Epic removed Caffeinated after backlash over the song. It is very probable that when Caffeinated returns to the Item Shop, it will bring with it the Sabrina Carpenter bundle with the two emotes and two Jam Tracks.
