After leaks suggested a new mode was coming, new leaks have confirmed that Fortnite OG is coming back in a permanent sense. The season between Chapters 4 and 5 was such a hit that Epic Games looked into how they could recapture that. They tried Reload and Remix, the current season that sends players back to Chapter 2. Those didn’t quite have the same effect, but it seems like Epic has finally learned what players want.
Fortnite OG to Return Permanently
Fortnite OG is back. So many leakers have shared as much. They did state that the information comes from an anonymous source, but they can verify most of it. The key info is that the mode is coming back, and it will be permanent. It will presumably join Rocket Racing, LEGO, and Festival as alternatives to the main Battle Royale, which is currently in the Remix season.
Since its permanent, the mode will operate on a cycle. Seasons 1 through 10 will return in monthly cycles, so expect a lot of changes in rapid succession. The game mode, unsurprisingly, will only have old loot. The loot pool will be entirely separate from the main loot pool in both Battle Royale and Zero Build.
Speaking of, there was no Zero Build option for Chapter 1. Building was essential to the gameplay then, but Epic is making a tweak. This new mode will support both regular and Zero Build. There will be options for everyone.
Finally, it is expected that this will be announced soon at the Finale or at the Game Awards. The leaks did state that the game mode would come to Fortnite in December, which only gives them a couple of weeks to announce. Either way, this is exciting information.
These are technically leaks, though, so keep in mind that they may not be totally accurate. However, there is a lot of information out there about it, so things are trending that way.
