Final Fantasy XIV is one of the best MMORPGs around, which offers you the chance to own and collect mounts including the iconic chocobos of the Final Fantasy series. Here’s how to unlock and get started with your first mount in FFXIV.

How To Get Your First Mount In FFXIV
The first mount you’ll receive in FFXIV is the Grand Company Chocobo. To unlock this mount, you’ll first need to progress through the Main Scenario Quests (MSQ) until you reach the level 20 quest that requires you to join one of the Grand Companies. It doesn’t matter which one you chose, you’ll still get your Chocobo mount.
Depending on the Grand Company, you’ll need to then complete a single quest for the Grand Company to earn some Company Seals. After officially joining the Grand Company, speak with the company commander to receive the quest My Little Chocobo.
Use the company seals you received earlier to buy a chocobo issuance from the Grand Company quartermaster. Next, go to the Chocobokeep of your Grand Company and give them the chocobo issuance to receive your chocobo.

Afterward, speak to your chocobo mount to name it. The name can be between 2 and 20 characters, using letters and apostrophes. Multiple chocobos can have the same name, so don’t worry about it being taken.
Once you’ve named your Chocobo, talk to the Chocobokeep again to finish the quest and receive your chocobo whistle. Click it to unlock your mount. Then, to summon your chocobo, open the mount guide in your Menu, right-click the chocobo icon, select Summon, and enjoy your new mount! Completing this quest will also allow you to unlock other mounts, like the sought-after Monowheeel S1 Mount, in your game.
