Continuing to expand its gaming ecosystem, Immutable has leaped aboard 2024’s key gaming trend and integrated support for Telegram mini-games.
As per its latest developer update, Immutable states it has “released some powerful new features which enable a more immersive gaming experience, community building tools for Telegram as well as guides and resources”.
As well as allowing players to interact with marketplaces in-game through pre-approved transactions, Immutable’s Passport solution now also integrates Blockaid in order to offer safer transactions. Moreover, it’s strengthened the integration of Immutable zkEVM into games built using Unity and Unreal by enhancing its SDK reference builds.
In terms of its business strategy, the most significant update however is Immutable’s deepened integration with Telegram. More particularly, this reinforces the company’s support for game developers launching mini-apps within the messenger platform.
By integrating Immutable Passport within their Telegram apps, game developers can now more seamlessly convert their Telegram communities to Passport users, funnelling them to their main games within the Immutable ecosystem. This also enables authentication and pre-approved transactions.
Part of its wider expansion strategy, Immutable’s zkEVM mainnet recently became fully permissionless, meaning any game developer can now build on the network. The company has also announced its Passport service, which unlocks access to an ever growing portfolio of games on its platform, has now garnered over 3.3 million signups.
