Mech Arena seems to be capturing the hearts of many gamers around the world, especially those who play on their Android and iOS devices. Therefore, you’ll notice thousands of new players embarking on this shooting adventure everyday. If you are one of them, we’ve compiled this Mech Arena beginner’s guide which outlines all the essential tips and tricks you should follow to excel as a Mech operator.
Tips and Tricks to get better at Mech Arena
Don’t skip the tutorial
As soon as you enter the game for the first time, you will have to go through a rough tutorial. The very first tutorial room is needed to show the three basic mechanics: movement, capturing a base and shooting at the enemy.
In the tutorial, you only need to complete a few more test battles and after completing the full training course, you will receive all the bonuses. You shouldn’t skip this tutorial at any cost, especially if you’ve never played this game before.
Focus on Upgrading Mechs
To get more features and become stronger, you need to upgrade mechs. Increasing the level of mechs increases the amount of health they have. For the first seven levels, we simply increase the characteristics and after the seventh level, it’s possible to increase the rank of the mech.
Increasing the rank gives a plus one stat to the mech and significantly increases the characteristics, energy, and power of the ability. Leveling up requires credits, while ranking up requires coins. Weapons are upgraded similarly to credits and blueprints, but instead of health, you increase damage and an additional parameter depending on the weapon.
Best weapon class and building basics
Artillery is the best weapon class in Mech Arena because it has the maximum range of attack. It attacks in a high trajectory and deals area damage. You could play from a distance without getting close to the enemy, or you can be in constant contact with the enemy to prevent them from advancing.
It still depends on the map because not everywhere will you be able to play with long-range weapons. Apart from the best weapon class, you should also understand the three basics of building efficiency for mechs:
- Weapons: As mentioned earlier, damage and range are the two important factors you should keep in mind before equipping a weapon in Mech Arena.
- Movement Speed: It is important to know what your movement speed will be and the ability to understand in any situation where you can gain an advantage.
- Map Awareness: Finally, map awareness is relatively crucial; otherwise, you will easily miss the vulnerable angles, shelters on the map and long corridors you should clear.
Utilize Pilots
We’ve seen many players overlooking Pilots feature because they believe it doesn’t add any new functionality in combat and only consumes your hard-earned A-coins or credits. However, not many players know that Pilots significantly improve the base stats including damage and range once they’re installed on the Mech.
Pilots are relatively expensive for a beginner, but they are cheaper than weapons that cost more than 5,000 AC coins or 500,000 credits. There is no need to buy them right away since you already have the pilot, Nova. It’s best to decide what kind of mech you want, what kind of weapons you want, and then buy a pilot when you start your first build.
