MLBB is set to celebrate its Anniversary with the next patch update. This update has brought many new game modes and the release of a new hero within the game. In this article, let’s look at all the latest features and in-game elements from the MLBB 2024 Anniversary Patch 1.9.20.
MLBB 2024 Anniversary Patch To Bring Souyu

MLBB is known for its various collaborations with companies outside gaming and its passionate fan base. A majority of these fans are from Southeast Asia, which has one of the highest numbers of mobile gaming users. Recently, the game held an in-game event with Star Wars for skins and other cosmetics. The new patch will be released worldwide on September 27th.
The first prominent feature in the new update is the release of the new hero, Suyuo. Suyuo will play the role of assassin in the game. The Hero has various new abilities. His passive allows the hero to swap from his immortal mode to his mortal form. While his mortal form has increased movement speed, his immortal form takes less damage from hits but has a high cooldown on his abilities.
His other skills are mainly based on mobility and crowd control. A unique part of his skills is that they have two versions, a tap and a hold variant. Thus, Suyuo has four skills in total. This makes him ideal in either the jungle role or the mid-lane.

The next new feature is called the Battlefield draft. This temporary event will have modifiers to the entire battlefield and alter the game’s rules. These modifications will be based on the votes of all players. Below is a list of some of the changes:
- Fortified
- Eye Of Tempest
- Eternal Strength
- Rapid Response
- Everlasting Turtle
- River Surge
- Super Entourage
- Healing Turret
- Lord’s Aura
For example, the Super Entourage effect summons three super minions to a lane with the Lord. This makes the gameplay quite different from the commonly played ranked mode. It makes the MLBB 2204 Anniversary patch one of the few to change the rules of the fundamentals from a MOBA game.
Another feature that has been modified is the new skill range. Now, players can see more accurately within the game which skills are landing where. For example, this could be useful for abilities focused on crowd control or even as a dash. The visual indicators of specific skills in the game have been modified. Marksman Heroes will have their attack recovery animation improved, making their basic attacks more fluid.
There is also a new login system within MLBB. Before the MLBB 2024 Anniversary patch, the game took 38 seconds to boot up. In the new update, the game will take just 17 seconds on older/low-end devices.
