Overwatch 2 has just got a new collaboration. Following on from their crossovers with Cowboy Bebop and One Punch Man, we’re getting Overwatch 2 My Hero Academia skins! This new collab features a few characters from the manga and anime series.
As with past Overwatch crossovers, they have a bit of a unique way of handling these collabs. Rather than depicting the characters directly, Blizzard has their cast of characters essentially cosplaying the franchise. Although they’ve made some solid picks to represent the heroes and villains of My Hero Academia, this is what we’re expecting with the collab:
Overwatch 2 My Hero Academia Skins
The new Overwatch 2 My Hero Academia collab features four new skins. These are the characters showing up in the crossover:
- Deku – Deku is a new skin for Tracer! The DPS hero will sport a classic design for the protagonist of my Hero Academia.
- Uravity – Juno’s new skin for the Overwatch 2 My Hero Academia collab is Uravity.
- All Might – Yet another collab skin is here for Reinhardt, All Might! While he already has a fair share of crossover skins, his bigger frame likely makes him the easiest to fit these characters onto.
- Toga – One of the villains getting a skin is Toga, which will be available for Kiriko.
- Shigaraki – The main villain of the series gets a skin modeled on Reaper, fitting for a character focused on destruction.
Each of these skins will be available throughout the collab. Their choices of character have been interesting too. We’re getting the main characters, but also getting villains before popular supporting characters like Todoroki. Each pick has already shown up in the Fortnite My Hero Academia crossover, but these skins are quite well done for overwatch.
As well as being available individually, these skins are here as part of a Mega Bundle. There aren’t any for free, but players can earn some sprays and a charm if they play Overwatch during the crossover.
