At the back of announcing it’s working on mobile-based web3 game Autobattler, Moonray Studios has now unveiled it’s expanding to console.
Approved by Sony, the developer’s multiplayer battle arena game Moonray will launch on PlayStation 5 in 2025.
The alpha version is currently available via Epic Games Store. Coming to PS5, means the game joins Off The Grid, which recently launched early access via Xbox and PS5, in addition to PC.
Described as an action-packed multiplayer battle arena game, Moonray includes game modes such as 4v4, 8-man deathmatch, team objective, and 1v1. By climbing the leaderboards players can unlock new character skins and other rewards.
Exactly how Moonray will enable blockchain features on console is not clear, and no PS5 release date has yet been announced. The team has said this will be revealed in the next few months.
Moonray Studios co-founder and CBO Hans Andersson commented, “I’m so excited we will introduce Moonray to a whole new audience of gamers!”
“As a huge fan of arena combat games, I truly hope that Moonray can inspire players to try more games in the genre and that it encourages game devs to make more of them, too.”
