In a wider initiative to emphasise its focus on gaming, global sports brand Puma has announced a partnership with Israeli mobile game developer UNKJD.
As part of the deal, UNKJD will bring Puma-licensed content to UNKJD Soccer (ex-Striker League), which is the studio’s debut mobile game. Among other content, this will include special Puma Ballers, skins, and tournaments.
In terms of the game, it’s described as a combination of “sports, the strategy of RPG, and the fun of board games.” It lets players compete in tournaments to earn Gems, which can be converted into MBS tokens.
Based on Solana and Base, UKNJD Soccer is set for full launch in 2025.
UNKJD CEO Tal Friedman commented, “We’re thrilled to integrate Puma’s rich heritage with our innovative gameplay, creating unique experiences for our players. This partnership allows us to expand our reach and introduce UNKJD Soccer to Puma’s global audience, while offering our existing community exciting new content. Together, we’re set to create something truly special in the mobile gaming space”.
“Puma is thrilled to partner with UNKJD. Placing the Puma brand and products in digital environments is critical to our success and there is no more natural fit than UNKJD Soccer,” said Ivan Dashkov, the director of emerging marketing tech at Puma.
“Having the Puma brand available in these environments is a huge priority to us as gaming culture is a part of our all encompassing culture.”
