One of the biggest new releases of the year is Dragon Ball Sparking Zero. As we’ve moved over to a new console generation though, titles on older platforms can sometimes get a bit tricky. A lot of new releases have now moved to just being on PC and more modern consoles. So is Dragon Ball Sparking Zero on PS4 or only PS5?
We might be quite a few years into the console cycle, but players are taking a bit longer to move on this time. A lot of players are still on the older consoles and don’t want to miss out on trying everything out in Sparking Zero. This is the Dragon Ball game with one of the biggest rosters of characters. Visually, it pushes things forward quite a bit. But can everything fit on the older platforms?
Is Dragon Ball Sparking Zero on PS4?
Dragon Ball Sparking Zero is not on PS4 this time. The game is only being released on PS5, Xbox, and PC.
The game’s lack of a PS4 release might be frustrating for some. Especially those who were looking forward to playing a new take on such a classic series of Dragon Ball games. Although, typically we do see game publishers moving on to the next gen earlier than we have with this set of consoles. Eventually, older hardware can’t be relied on to properly run current games.
With more players moving over to different hardware, it makes less sense to carry on optimizing games for this older generation of consoles. It’s not the only platform being skipped for the Sparking Zero release either.
The answer to is Dragon Ball Sparking Zero on PS4 is no, but the game also isn’t on Switch. That hardware can struggle at times running FighterZ! The PS54 might not feel as underpowered comparatively, but Sparking Zero would be a bit of a push for it.
If you haven’t made the jump to next gen yet, you’ll have to wait a little bit to play Sparking Zero. The title is a great experience on the PS5. If you’re thinking about which platform to play, keep in mind Sparking Zero doesn’t have crossplay yet, so you’ll be unable to play with anyone not on PS5.
