Poseidon DAO is pleased to announce that the 5th artist to participate in the Deploy Collection is Nicola Caredda with the work Everyone at Rolling Loud.

The launch of this fifth work is part of a structured context of mutual support with emerging artists, which so far has featured Yu Cai, Niro Perrone, Orkhan Isayev, Laprisamata, and 4LeafCLover.

Nicola Caredda

Italian artist born in 1981, Nicola Caredda draws inspiration from both De Chirico’s metaphysical painting and Magic Realism to create his works that depict a state of decay typical of big city suburbs or perhaps attributable to an apocalyptic catastrophe.

Everyone at Rolling Loud

Poseidon’s blog reads:

“Everyone at Rolling Loud is a work in which the artist depicts what remains at the end of a collective ritual such as Rolling Loud – the most important Rap and Trap music festival – in which, once the music is over, echoes and sonic vibrations still reverberate in the saturated atmosphere of a desolate and dilapidated place that has become strangely intimate and familiar.”

It will be possible to mint the work on Wednesday 8 February 2023 at 8 PM (UTC) on the Monifold platform.

The minting price is 0.075 ETH per NFT and there are only 250 works available.

Furthermore, Poseidon DAO has released version 1.1 of its White Paper and announced that it will release its token by the end of February.

Poseidon DAO, following the success of the works presented in the past few months in collaboration with Yu Cai ( sold out in 28 minutes) and Orkhan Isayev (sold out in less than a minute), has chosen, for the launch of the third issue of the Deploy collection to rely on the work of Laprisamata, an artist of high caliber.

Laprisamata, the nickname of artist Luis Toledo, has won several awards throughout his artistic and design career including the Wacom Award, the Pantone Award and the Behance National Design Awards. However, his art, easily defined as pop-surrealist, also undergoes Roman-Byzantine and Asian influences, with a particular focus on ancient mosaic techniques and Hindu temple ornamentation.

For the collaboration with Poseidon, the Spanish artist created the work Saint in the Blue Desert, which, as Poseidon itself well specified in its blog: 

“It belongs to the Rituals series which, together with the Sacred Animals and Titans series, is part of a long-term project, which includes the future realization of an exhibition, the construction of a Virtual Reality universe, and the production of graphic novels and animated shorts dedicated to the world of the Blue Man Desert. The work depicts the colossal portrait of one of the Titans, a face, at once hypnotic and hieratic, resembling arcane cartography, studded with spiritual symbols that, like dimensional portals, open wide on the vision of further worlds. Worlds that are metaphors for the human condition, haunted by time, ravaged by violence, a prisoner of the eternal struggle between life and death.”

On the evening of 28 November at 9 PM (CET) Poseidon DAO launched the second work in the Deploy Collection series in collaboration with artist Orkhan Isayev.

The work, VICTORY Aeromobile – Artemis Classic Y5, follows the one in collaboration with Yu Cai launched last month.

As for the artist’s peculiarities, an in-depth article was published in the Poseidon blog; a part of it reads:

“In Orkhan Isayev‘s art, retrofuturism and cyberpunk come together in the construction of a visual imaginary poised between nostalgia for the past and inevitable dystopian drift. A world that, at least initially, is conceived as a kind of golden age, the so-called Great Utopia, a time of social order and decorum, in which the urban structure of cities is the result of the combination of the preservation of ancient monuments and the development of advanced technology, just as someone who lived between the Roaring Twenties and the 1940s would have imagined it.”

In fact, the artist himself states that: 

“I was interested in Futurism from an early age, but I also always liked 20th-century nostalgia because it was very intense, and I was always looking for ways to show it together.”

Similar to the first edition, all those who purchased VICTORY Aeromobile – Artemis Classic Y5, will be entitled to a free airdrop of PDN tokens, both when the purchase was made in the primary market and when an additional snapshot will be taken before the token launch for those who purchased in the secondary market.

Details of the third edition of the Deploy Collection have not yet been officially announced, but will be unveiled soon through Poseidon DAO‘s official social channels.

Following the success of the first work in the Deploy Collection, in collaboration with Chinese artist Yu Cai, for the second edition Poseidon DAO is joined by the talented Orkhan Isayev.

The artist Orkhan Isayev

Having recently approached the NFT world, Orkhan Isayev has been an immediate success with collectors. When creating his works, as can be read more in-depth in Poseidon’s blog, he references futurism and the Deco style that influenced not only the three arts, but also fashion and design between the 1920s and 1940s. 

Not only that: the monumental relics of the past are surrounded by hyper-technological, movie-inspired buildings ranging from Star Wars to Blade Runner

The resulting images are thus those of futuristic cities, dominated by a sense of calm and peace due to the use of uniform, flat colors and clean design.
