A new playtest is coming to Moonfrost! Starting at the end of May, players on the Welcome List will be able to login to the Moonfrost world, tend to their farm, create their own customized house, and collect SHARDS.

Moonfrost, a Stardew Valley-type farming and social game, is opening up a special ‘Farming Fest’ playtest on May 29th. You will need to be on the Welcome List to gain access to this playtest, but securing one of those coveted spots isn’t impossible!

The first step to getting onto the Welcome List is to sign up on the Moonfrost website. After that, you can look for invites if you were an alpha playtester, create content on social media about Moonfrost, or check around with your other favorite web3 gaming projects for collaborative giveaways. In addition, once the playtest begins, anyone who is already on the Welcome List can invite one friend per day.

Farming Fest

This playtest is officially known as the Moonfrost Farming Fest. During this event, which runs from May 29th through June 7th, players will be able farm, working their way up from basic tools to more interesting options (the imagery given to us was “Thor’s Hammer, but for farming”!)

And, of course, after a hard days’ work on the farm, players will need a place to kick back and relax. Custom homes will also be present in the Farming Fest, letting players design their dream home piece by piece!

As for rewards, participants can collect SHARDS by completing tasks in-game and by creating content and sharing it on social media. SHARDS are in-game resource, though their purpose is still unrevealed.

This playtest will be single player only. But, to keep you from feeling too lonely while you work your farm, there will be two NPCs, Ash and Walter, who you can interact with.

What is Moonfrost?

Moonfrost is a free to play, character-based, farming game, similar to Stardew Valley. Players farm and gather resources, craft items, decorate their homes, and attract a variety of NPCs to live in their town.

And though the main game will function as a single-player game, Moonfrost will include player interactions, and it will also require an active internet connection when playing. Things with timers such as crops, will still progress when you are offline. And animal lovers will be happy to know that Moonfrost will include no animal killing!

The Moonfrost team releases regular dev updates and reports which you can read on their Discord server. Moonfrost will be released on PC and Mac first, followed by versions for mobile devices

Beta Season 1 for My Neighbor Alice. And with it come official Adventure Contests, which offer ALICE tokens as prizes, one of which just started today! The beta is free to play, so if farming and crafting in a multiplayer, social environment is your style of game, you might want to check out My Neighbor Alice!

My Neighbor Alice started their beta season 1 back in mid-April, but there is still time to join this free to play farming and crafting game, and potentially earn some tokens by participating in weekly contests!

This new playtest includes an emotes system for more varied social interactions, and an in-game trading system. And while the ability to have animated emotes is an important part of a virtual social scene, the in-game market is a larger step forward. Especially with a farming and crafting focused game! Additionally, we have new crafting stations both in town and on player plots, new levels and upgrades for tools, and new quests to complete.

The beta is free to play. Players can either own or purchase an NFT land, or claim a trial land plot to access the beta. Head over to the official webpage to download the launcher (PC only for the moment) and get started!

And to encourage players, they have started running weekly contests. This week, the object is to collect as many fish (and as much variety) as you can. You’ll need to post a screenshot of your inventory on Twitter and tag the official My Neighbor Alice account to participate. Winner receives 150 ALICE tokens (current price at $1.23 per token). What is My Neighbor Alice?

My Neighbor Alice is a multiplayer blockchain-based building and farming game. Players can own and buy virtual islands and meet friends while building and collecting items. The game is similar in many ways to Stardew Valley. Players grow crops, fish, craft, decorate, and trade. But My Neighbor Alice has quite a bit of complexity to it. For example, each body of water has a different selection of fish in it — with different fish preferring different types of bait!

The game offers plenty of plot customization, with a large selection of decorative items as well as crafting stations and crop growing.

My Neighbor Alice includes a companion mobile app called Alice’s Wardrobe. Players can decorate their avatar in this app and then save their appearance to the blockchain for use in the main game. They also have their own out of game marketplace, with item transactions using the game’s ALICE token.

Another NFT mint is upon us. This one is from Paradise Tycoon and gives users a chance to mint a Gold Pass NFT, which will act as a premium battle pass for the game and provide other benefits, potentially including future token or NFT airdrops!

Free mint? That’s right! The mint for the Paradise Tycoon Gold Pass will be completely free. In fact, since the mint is taking place on the Immutable zkEVM network, there won’t even be a gas fee!

However, you will need to be on the whitelist for this Gold Pass mint. And unfortunately, opportunities to grab a whitelist spot have already come and gone. You can check your whitelist status at https://dashboard.paradisetycoon.com/

The guaranteed whitelist round starts at 1pm UTC on May 3rd, with the Waitlist round starting at 4pm UTC that same day. Only 1500 passes are up for grabs, and the waitlist round operates on a first come first served basis. So I expect all of these passes to be all minted pretty soon after 4pm!

What is the Paradise Pass Gold NFT?

The Paradise Pass Gold FT is Paradise Tycoon’s equivalent of a premium battle pass. Players can earn MOANI tokens and other rewards by completing daily and weekly tasks, and by just holding onto the NFT.

Pass holders will also have exclusive access to the multiplayer portion of the game during beta. Invite friends to your island and impress them with your decoration skills!

Additionally, Paradise Tycoon plans to start their play to airdrop campaign for MOANI tokens soon, and owning a Paradise Pass will offer more opportunities for rewards!

Supposedly players will be able to trade these Passes on Sphere (https://sphere.market/). A direct link will be released after the mint.

What is Paradise Tycoon?

Currently in open beta, Paradise Tycoon is a farming / building game along the lines of Stardew Valley. In this case, the player has won a lottery granting them a tropical island of their own. Only catch? It’s covered with weeds and a bit worn down. The player is tasked with cleaning up their island, fixing up the buildings, crafting items, completing quests, and decorating to their heart’s content!

Players will be able to trade in-game resources, as well as NFTs for crafted items and blueprints. Paradise Tycoon is currently in beta and free to play. Though there are already NFTs available on secondary markets, Paradise Tycoon is moving from Avalanche to Immutable, so you may want to check up on NFT migrations before you make any purchases.

Paradise Tycoon is available to play as an Android app or through a browser.
