Lamborghini has formed a partnership with Animoca Brands to create a new gaming experience in the metaverse. The famous Italian luxury car brand is ready to offer unique experiences to its fans and customers.

Lamborghini and gaming in the metaverse of Animoca Brands

Animoca Brands, the company that promotes digital property rights for gaming and the metaverse, has announced the new partnership with Lamborghini

“We are excited to announce our collaboration with @Lamborghini! Together, we will advance the digital culture of the vehicle to shape the future of brand engagement in the automotive industry. @IlMotorverso is involved. Wen Lambo”

The shared goal is to offer unique experiences to Lamborghini fans and customers, marking automotive excellence with cutting-edge technologies.

In fact, Lamborghini and Animoca together also aim to shape the future of brand engagement in the automotive sector.

To achieve this mission, bull and bear have been chosen as exclusive partners for this initiative, the creative design studio Gravitaslabs and the tech company Motorverse.

Lamborghini enters gaming in the metaverse with Animoca Brands, Motoverse, and Gravitalabs

The leading Web3 company, Animoca Brands, has therefore managed to conquer even Lamborghini.

Animoca Brands leverages blockchain to provide digital property rights to consumers around the world and contribute to the creation of an open metaverse.

The company develops and publishes a wide portfolio of products, including original games such as The Sandbox, PHANTOM GALAXIES™, Life Beyond, and Crazy Defense Heroes. Not only that, there are also products that use popular intellectual properties from the world of sports and entertainment, such as The Walking Dead, Power Rangers, MotoGP™ and Formula E.

Among the two special partners chosen for Lamborghini and the metaverse, there is also Motorverse, which is an open ecosystem and a global community for digital vehicles, racing games, and motorsports.

Here, car and motorcycle enthusiasts, motorsport fans, and players can collect and trade officially licensed digital vehicles, play and compete in a growing range of racing games, developed in collaboration with leading car brands, top motorsport IPs, such as MotoGP™, Formula Drift, Formula E.

On the other hand, there is Gravitaslabs which is a creative design studio, as well as a tech company that manages an interactive and immersive marketing platform used by iconic global brands.

With Gravitaslabs, brands create a new audience and business from Web3, using blockchain technology, NFTs, and digital products and gamified eCommerce solutions. Gravitaslabs, with its partners Lightlink, Meta-Stadiums, and Rarible, serves companies in the automotive, entertainment, sports, and fashion sectors.

The NFT collections

The news today brings Lamborghini into the metaverse sector, but the famous Italian automotive brand has been traveling in the NFT sector for some time.

And indeed, there are already several Lamborghini NFT projects. Among the various, in February 2022, Space Time Memory was launched, a series of five photographs of a Lamborghini Ultimae taking off towards the stars and celebrating human exploration in space.

Here, the Swiss artist Fabian Oefner has created the compositions from real elements, capturing more than 1,500 individual parts of a real car.

Apparently it’s official: the second Lamborghini NFT collection is coming in February. The news is confirmed by the Blockworks Twitter account, which reads:

NFT projects by Lamborghini: everything there is to know

Among Lamborghini’s various NFT projects, the first one is called Lamborghini Space Key. Through a collaboration with NFT Pro and RM Sotheby’s, the Sant’Agata Bolognese automaker received bids for the five copies of physical and digital artworks created by renowned artist Fabian Oefner exactly one year ago.

Each of Lamborghini’s other NFT auctions that followed were fifteen minutes apart. In addition, each auction lasted 75 hours and 50 minutes, which is the same time it took Apollo 11 to take off and enter lunar orbit.

It is worth mentioning that the Space Key contains carbon fiber elements that Lamborghini sent to the International Space Station in 2020 as part of a joint research program.

These elements, which have been engraved with a unique QR code, refer to the digital component: a series of five photographs of a Lamborghini Ultimae heading for the stars.

The images depict lifting the car off the ground at five different moments within seconds of each other. Components, the engine, transmission, suspension and hundreds of nuts and bolts splash off the car’s chassis like the combustion flame of a rocket.

It may look like a computer-generated image, but it is actually a work created entirely from real-world elements by artist Oefner. The photograph of Earth’s curvature was created by sending a probe balloon equipped with a camera to the edge of the stratosphere.

The artist then carefully assembled all these images to depict an artificial instant. Each of the five Lamborghini NFTs contains more than 600 million pixels. By enlarging the images, it is possible to observe the hidden details of these hyper-realistic photographs.

The Lamborghini Aventador worth $1.6 million

Prior to this new upcoming collection, the latest Lamborghini Aventador Ultimae was sold at auction with an NFT for $1.6 million. With one real and one digital version, this is how the Lamborghini Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae Coupe version says goodbye.

The last ever example was sold at auction by RM Sotheby’s on 21 April at a record price of $1.6 million (more than 1.4 million euros). Not only that, along with the actual supercar the collector was awarded a one-of-a-kind NFT created in collaboration with digital artist Krista Kim, music producer Steve Aoki, and agency INVNT GROUP.

In addition to owning the most exclusive Aventador Ultimae in history, the collector received numerous Lamborghini-signed “bonuses.” For example, he will have access to VIP services such as virtual previews of future limited-edition models, a private tour of the Museum, and a virtual “Meet and Greet” with Steve Aoki and Kirsta Kim.

The NFT digital artwork was created by Krista Kim and is inspired by the customizations found on the real Aventador created through Lamborghini’s Ad Personam program.

Steve Aoki, on the other hand, created an exclusive soundtrack for the physical car and, as an expert in the NFT and crypto community, advised on the design of the model and artwork.

The Ultimae is simply the most powerful Aventador ever built. The Lamborghini is equipped with a 6.5 V12 “Rear Longitudinal” engine increased to 780 hp, which is 40 hp more than the S and 10 hp more than the SVJ.

Lighter by 25 kilograms than the S, it relies on a 7-speed ISR robotized gearbox to reach 355 km/h and accelerate to 100 km/h from a standstill in 2.8 seconds.

Just like the latest example, the other 599 Ultimae have also been customized down to the smallest details by their respective customers. The first models have already been delivered during the summer of 2021.

In order to distinguish it, it is enough to notice that the front air intakes have a different layout, while the alloy wheels are in the exclusive Silver Dianthus design.

Lamborghini’s four NFT series released until March 2023

The first two NFT-related projects mentioned above were a major success, and Lamborghini launched the next series, which started in August 2022 on the dedicated website. The protagonists of these virtual collectibles will, of course, be the Sant’Agata Bolognese company’s super sports cars.

Christian Mastro, Marketing Director of Automobili Lamborghini, said on the subject:

“Entering the virtual world of modern collecting with NFTs is the natural translation and evolution of the dream of children and adults, an expression of design and art that underlines our value of authenticity. NFTs are the new unconventional and exclusive proposal, a way to pave the way for a new form of expression for the younger generations.”

In this new series of NFTs, collectors will be able to visit and discover numerous places with the Italian brand’s super sports cars. The collection consists of four NFTs released every month for four consecutive days until March 2023, available for purchase for 24 hours only. The fourth NFT will be available in a special, limited edition of only 63 units.

At the end of the campaign, only those who have acquired all the monthly NFTs issued, the three regular NFTs or three regular NFTs plus the limited edition, will receive a special NFT in addition.

In addition to the purchase of the NFTs, there will also be some exclusive experiences for collectors. During the course of the campaign, other exclusive surprises will be announced, including digital artwork of the Centro Stile Lamborghini produced for “The Epic Road Trip” campaign to those who purchase two full monthly collections.

Finally, for those who have completed the first four months there will be a chance to participate in a special tour of the Sant’Agata Bolognese headquarters.

Following its debut in the world of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) in early February 2022, Lamborghini is making its own way with a special space-related initiative.

Lamborghini’s new NFT project

New NFTs from Lamborghini to collect over eight months

Through a collaboration with NFT PRO and INVNT.ATOM, Lamborghini will take its supercars to places in space that travelers can visit and discover, collecting new NFTs every month for eight months until March 2023.

“Since 1963, the year of its foundation, Automobili Lamborghini has always led from the front, demonstrating this with its super sports cars that continue to be the protagonists in dreams of children and adults all over the world. Entering the virtual world of modern collecting with NFTs is the natural translation and evolution of that dream. NFTs are the new, unconventional and exclusive proposition, paving the way for a new form of expression for the younger generations”,

commented Christian Mastro, Marketing Director of Lamborghini.

The new collection consists of 4 NFTs released every month, available for a limited time of 24 hours. The last of the 4 NFTs will be available in a special edition and only 63 units will be released. To create even more excitement among collectors, those who have purchased all the monthly NFTs, i.e. the 4 regular NFTs or the 3 regular NFTs plus the limited edition, will receive an additional special NFT.

Lamborghini initiatives

Lamborghini does not want to limit itself to selling NFTs, but wants to offer some exclusive experiences for its collectors. Indeed, during the course of the campaign, some surprises will be announced.

Among these surprises is a digital artwork of Lamborghini Style Center produced for “The Epic Road Trip” campaign for all those who will purchase two complete monthly collections. For those who complete the first four months, there will be a chance to participate in a special tour of the Sant’Agata Bolognese headquarters.

INVNT.ATOM collaborates with the NFT collection

INVNT.ATOM, the global digital innovation division of INVNT Group, led the creative, strategic, design, content and marketing communications for this collaborative launch with Lamborghini.

“Our previous collaboration with Lamborghini – auctioning off a 1:1 NFT attached to the last physical Aventador Coupé super sportscar – was a testament to how impactful storytelling at the digital frontier cultivates community and consumer engagement. We’re honored to grow our relationship with Lamborghini and to be partnering with NFT PRO to celebrate innovation and Lamborghini’s 1963 heritage”,

said Scott Cullather, president and CEO of INVNT Group.

Lamborghini, a famous Italian luxury car manufacturer, has announced that it will certify parts of its cars using NFTs.

In recent years their use has grown mainly in the art world, but we must never forget that this type of use is only the starting point, the tip of the iceberg of what can all be potential applications of NFTs.

Lamborghini and NFTs: the collaboration with Go2NFT and Skey Network

Lamborghini has decided to certify the components used for its cars with NFTs

Scuderia Vincenzo Sospiri Racing, an automotive team dedicated to GT racing supported by Lamborghini Racing, has decided to embrace Non-Fungible Token technology.

The pioneering project will be the result of synergistic work between former driver Sospiri, the Go2NFT platform and the Skey Network blockchain.

This project will make it possible to digitally monitor and guarantee the quality of each car’s parts.

Lamborghini Racing’s plan, however, in addition to being ambitious and futuristic, also carries a not inconsiderable burden of responsibility.

Vincenzo Sospiri stated:

“We have the great privilege to race in some of the greatest motorsport events in the world, with one of the world’s most recognised and beloved brands. This also brings great responsibility – to ensure that we can securely authenticate and audit every part of our racing fleet to monitor performance and ensure provenance.

We are excited to pilot with Go2NFT and the renowned team at Skey Network to build NFT certification across our cars and other products to ensure we maintain the very highest standards of quality and control”.

Merchandise will also be certified

VSR’s project is actually a wide-ranging program.

The plan, in fact, is to expand the NFT certificate to include official merchandise and any team products.

Doing so would ensure fans of the authenticity of each and every product.

Boris Ejsymont, Go2NFT executive, also made statements on the matter:

“What better way to launch our new platform than alongside one of the better racing teams supported by one of the most famous car brands in the world.

We know that provenance, accountability and quality control are key challenges for superbrands wanting to protect their IP and we believe that NFT utility can help create more trust and transparency for brands and their fans. This project with VSR is just the start of many such co-operations for beloved brands across the globe”.

NFTs thus allow a brand’s IP to be protected in a whole new way, while simultaneously giving certified security to its customers.

The racing world enters the crypto space

Contextualizing the news, it can be said that in 2022 the world of racing has, on several occasions, embraced the world of cryptocurrencies.

It is worth mentioning that in February the Formula 1 team, Red Bull Racing, made a $150 million partnership with the crypto exchange Bybit.

In March, Crypto.com made a deal with the Aston Martin Formula 1 team.

Under the agreement, the brand will display advertising on the exchange, bringing the automotive industry to better understand the cryptocurrency world.

A US artist called SHL0MS has blown up a 2015 Lamborghini Huracan to create 999 unique NFTs, linked to 999 slow motion videos. SHL0MS’s goal to recoup the cost is to sell all of his Non-Fungible Tokens for $230,000.

Detonated Lamborghini Huracan and the 999 NFTs

US artist named SHL0MS announced his 999 NFT collection of a 2015 Lamborghini Huracan exploded on Twitter:

“Introducing $CAR: 999 exquisitely filmed fragments of a detonated Lamborghini Huracan. Full explosion footage + auction drop 02.25.22 at http://car.shl0ms.com”.

Reportedly, the number of Non-Fungible Tokens that came out of it is 999, and from each movement of each piece, following the explosion, 999 slow motion videos were made. Each of these 999 videos is of course associated with a single piece and a unique code making it a fully fledged NFT.

The car chosen was a 2015 Lamborghini Huracan, wrapped in reflective silver and black film. The artist also explained that he had to hire explosives engineers to make sure that when the car was blown up, each piece was “whole” and identifiable.

Lamborghini Huracan stars in new 999 NFT collection

The 999 NFTs from the blown up Lamborghini Huracan are being auctioned off with the aim for SHL0MS to recoup the cost of purchasing the destroyed luxury car.

Estimates suggest that in the US, a similar Lamborghini with the same years and miles as the chosen one is worth around $230,000.

Therefore, SHL0MS would have to sell each NFT for more than $230 each just to recover its expenses. A result that could be attainable if one considers the current prices of NFTs, even the most mundane ones.

In this case, Lamborghini has become the protagonist of the new 999 NFT collection thanks to the artist, but there are NFT collections created directly by the famous Italian brand and manufacturer of luxury sports cars and SUVs.

Space Time Memory: the carmaker’s latest NFT collection

Earlier this month, Lamborghini announced the launch of its NFT project: Space Time Memory. This is a series of five NFT photographs of a Lamborghini Ultimate taking off towards the stars and celebrating human space exploration.

In that case, the artist who created the compositions from real elements by capturing more than 1,500 individual parts of a real car was Fabian Oefner and his team from Switzerland. The work took two months to assemble all the images in an artificial moment in time.

The auction of the 5 NFTs closed with prices above expectations, starting with an initial bid of $50, they closed at $203,000, $126,000, $110,000, $70,000 and $150,000 respectively.

With these figures, perhaps SHL0MS’s mission is not so far off, even if there is no direct involvement of the Italian brand.

Swiss artist Fabian Oefner created the compositions from real elements, capturing more than 1,500 individual parts of a real car.

Lamborghini and its first NFT project: Space Time Memory

In the pinned tweet on Lamborghini‘s official channel, the famous Italian brand and manufacturer of luxury sports cars and SUVs writes the following:

“Memories of the space age and the imagination that leads humankind to discover new worlds. ‘Space Time Memory’ represents all this, as explained by Swiss artist Fabian Oefner. The auctions for our incredible, first-ever NFT project start today”.

The Space Time Memory NFT project was created by Swiss artist Fabian Oefner along with his team, in a two-month effort to assemble all the images in an artificial moment in time.

In this regard, Oefner commented:

“For me, Space Time Memory is an analogy to the memories we make in life. Memories are rooted in the physical world; we make them in reality. We then store them in our brains, what could be considered the digital world”.

Lamborghini NFT and the auctions of the five Space Time Memories

The five NFT digital artworks are accessible via a QR code embedded in five units of a physical object, the Space Key, whose carbon fiber elements were sent to the International Space Station as part of a joint research project with Lamborghini.

NFT PRO and RM Sotheby’s have confirmed that they will begin receiving auction bids on Space Time Memory beginning 1 February, and will continue until 4 February

At the time of writing, it is possible to see the progress of the auctions on the Lamborghini NFT website which, with an initial bid of $100, have now all exceeded $12,000 with the NFT SPACE TIME MEMORY – T+0071S being above $32,000.

The price is displayed in US dollars, but the auction is expected to accept cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), DAI, DOGE, SHIB, USDC and WBTC.

Lamborghini is causing a buzz when it comes to NFTs.

The first official NFTs of the Italian luxury car brand.

As it turns out, this is not the first time Lamborghini is causing a buzz when it comes to NFTs. On 25 September, its first official Non Fungible Tokens were put up for sale on the Elysium Bridge platform.

The event was announced by the owners of the Ferruccio Lamborghini Museum, who launched the NFTs dedicated to the history of the Italian luxury car brand, in order to realize rare pieces of their private collection in digital format.

The artists involved in the creation of the NFTs of the Lamborghini family were Emanuele Dascanio, Maciej Kuciara, Matteo Mauro and Giovanni Motta.
