Then on Saturday, 11 February, the same users will be able to burn 5 pieces taken from Wonder Machine for free, keeping in mind the 3 per wallet condition. This will enable the collector to get the most beautiful and important main work of Wonder Angel.

At the beginning of the line of children, the artwork shows a huge machine working. Using a powerful laser scanner to bring the children to life. This laser scans each child, adjusting and calibrating their systems to perfection. With each scan, the children come alive and begin to move, taking their first steps into the world. Children are filled with wonder and excitement as they explore their new environment, and the artist has captured this excitement in their lives.

The expressions of the children in Wonder Machine, represent a vision of the future in which technology and life are intertwined. Resulting in a new generation of beings that blur the line between machine and human.

Wonder Machine aims to invite the viewer to confront the reality of a future in which technology has the power to create and control life.

Who is the artist?

For those who do not yet know him, Giovanni Motta is an artist from Verona, Italy, born in 1971 who, just a few years ago, decided to fully dedicate himself to his art, instead of putting it on the back burner as he has done since he was 21 years old.

And indeed, since that time, Motta has created many fascinating works, including NFTs that have already been displayed in several exhibitions.

According to reports, Motta described his first approach to digital art as something completely natural, having already been working on 3D modeling programs and the world of 3D printing.

The artist Giovanni Motta has created the first manga in NFT form in Italian, which was presented on the NIFTY GATEWAY marketplace on 7 July 2022. The manga is titled METABORG.

In the Manga story, Metaborg is a combat tournament in which the 32 strongest warriors in the world participate. Each warrior is assigned to a physical person, all of whom are undisputed stars of the crypto world.

John spoke with each of them, interviewing them on the subject of their child, how they saw the world and how they experienced their childhood. Complex personalities and surprising peculiarities emerged.

Metaborg Five Stars is the second date for my Fighter Collectors.

“I am a physical and digital artist, hence in my projects I always try to bring both worlds, physical and digital, to life,” Giovanni Motta explained.

In the first issue of Metaborg there are 136 pages that are now available as unique works: 136 NFTs corresponding to 136 unique art prints.

The physical works have been “dropped” with drops of Giovanni’s blood in order to create a third form of authentication in addition to the signature and NFT.

Giovanni tokenized the photo of his DNA test so it will always be possible to compare and be certain that these works are original.

How does the relationship with the NFT work?

A person who purchases one of these 136 NFTs can decide not to sell it for 6 months and, upon expiration, can decide whether to keep the NFT or have the corresponding physical work as a replacement.

If the collector keeps the NFT, the physical print artwork will be destroyed; if the collector decides to keep the physical artwork, the corresponding NFT will be burned.

These 136 works have 5 levels of rarity determined by the number of stars on the artwork. Pages with one star are the most common while those with 5 stars are the rarest.

MINT will be open for two categories of collectors on 29 and 30 November 2022:

Fighter collectors who have already collected one or more Metaborg NFTs and all others who now have the opportunity to become Fighter collectors by collecting one of these artworks.

MINT will be made directly on the project website.

The story of Giovanni Motta in the NFT world

The red thread that unites all of Motta’s works is the protagonist Jonny Boy.

The artist pivots each of his works around a cute cartoon-looking child, Jonny Boy. 

In reality, the boy is a representation of the child-like self that is inside each one of us but that, with the passage of time, we tend to forget and suppress.

With his works, Jonny therefore seeks to explore, or simply recall, the feelings and emotions that every young boy feels when discovering the world.

In each work, Jonny always has the same expression, which nevertheless encompasses three different moods: fear, which has a negative connotation, wonder, which has a positive exception, and amazement, which is intermediate.

The spectator, depending on his or her own state of mind, can mirror himself or herself in Jonny, feeling understood.

A new dimension for Jonny Boy

In recent months, the artist has dedicated himself to creating a work that is different from his previous ones. 

Tomorrow’s drop, on Nifty Gateway, will not simply be a short tokenized video, but a manga, an entire story written and drawn by the artist.

Motta, with this new project, wanted to take a further step, trying to give a new dimension to his Jonny Boy, trying to expand the character’s universe.

In this way, he has managed to bring Jonny Boy to life in the temporal dimension of a story, removing him from the stillness of the images of his paintings on canvas or the short, but wonderful, digital videos. 

This project represents the artist’s stubbornness and tireless desire to create. A further personal and professional challenge for him. 

Indeed, Giovanni does not want to limit himself to embracing the new digital vision of the art world. Instead, he always wants to push himself a little further, to expand his scope as an artist and, at the same time, not disappoint his following.

A work that tells a compelling story

“Metaborg – fight to survive” will be available tomorrow on Nifty Gateway.

Giovanni Motta conceived, wrote and drew this work that tells the story of a world devastated by a deadly pandemic.

The only survivors are a group of male children and a single girl whose name is unknown.

The children are divided into street gangs and each gang has a warrior leader. 

For the protagonists, life is marked by two basic activities: procuring food and training hard to qualify for the most important fights: the Metaborg tournaments.

But that’s not all, because this project, although conceived and signed by Giovanni Motta, also involved other important artists, collectors, personalities and influencers from the Crypto world. Internationally renowned actors from the NFT world lent themselves to become fighters and challenge Jonny Boy.

This results in a kind of phantasmagorical novel in which fictional characters, as well as eminent figures of crypto art, appear transfigured into a band of ruthless warriors and fighters. Each has their own costume, a name or disguise that reveals their true identity.

“Metaborg – Fight to Survive” is a comic book of almost 140 pages, whose plates, all rigorously hand-drawn and then reworked with Photoshop on a graphics tablet, read in a Western manner, from left to right. 

It is a dystopian story based on the most classic premise, the end of the world.
