One week ahead of open beta launch, Nexus Interactive has announced its flagship TCG Everdawn Champions will be available on Epic Games Store.

Previously known as Aradena Battleground, the game can now be wishlisted for early access via Epic, with open beta launch expected 25th September 2024.

Part of a wider medieval strategy gaming universe, Everdawn Champions is the first title to be released by the UK-based outfit. Nexus Play, its game development studio, is also working on mobile auto-battler Snap Royale, which is set to launch in 2025, and mobile base builder Kingdoms of Conquest, tentatively due in 2026. 

Additionally, Nexus is looking to release web3 games and IP developed by thirdparty partner studios. It’s also working on AI-driven UGC tools for users looking to create their own gameplay content, in return for revenue shares.

Finally, the company is launching its native ecosystem token NXI later in 2024, which will underpin all of its games and projects.

Backed by Animoca Brands, Jump Crypto, Maven Capital, GameFi Ventures, and others, Nexus recently announced the closure of a $2 million seed funding round.

UK-based web3 game outfit Nexus Interactive has announced it’s raised $2 million in seed funding from a long list of investors including Animoca Brands, Jump Crypto, Maven Capital, GameFi Ventures, Sky Vision Capital, Avocado Guild, Good Games Guild and RR2 Capital.

As for Nexus, the company was founded 3 years ago and consists of in-house game dev studio Nexus Play, publisher and accelerator Nexus Build, as well as its AI-based UGC initiative Nexus Share.

Previously known as Aradena Battlegrounds, Nexus’ flagship TCG Everdawn Champions is preparing for launch in September 2024, and is part of a wider “medieval strategy gaming universe”. Nexus says it has two other games in development – Snap Royale and Kingdoms of Conquest – while in terms of publishing, it’s also looking to release games developed by thirdparty partner studios.

Additionally, Nexus’ ecosystem token NXI is set to launch later in 2024.
