Wild Forest released details about their upcoming pre-release NFT sale, which includes 2,000 Lord NFTs, founder-level NFTs for the game which offer ongoing benefits to their holders! The sale opens on May 23rd for those who can claim a whitelist spot.

A pre-release NFT sale for Wild Forest opens next week! This sale will include over 13,000 NFT packs containing Lords, Units, and various skin NFTs.

Packs come in three varieties — standard, premium, and founder. Each level of pack offers increasingly valuable rewards, and the founder packs even contain guaranteed legendary NFTs! Packs are priced in RON token and cost 10 RON, 40 RON, and 120 RON respectively. There will be 8,000 standard packs, 5,000 premium packs, and only 200 founder packs available during this sale.

Anyone already holding a Lord NFT or who participated in the recent play to airdrop campaign should be able to claim their whitelist spot at https://playwildforest.io/whitelist. You have until May 20th to make your claim. If you didn’t get a spot already, you still have a chance! The Wild Forest team plans to hold a livestream on May 21st where they will raffle off 50 spots to Lord holders, and anyone who accumulated at least 15k points during season one. It’s unclear if this sale will include a public phase.

NFTs in Wild Forest

Wild Forest will support several types of NFTs, including Units, Lords, and Skins. Unit NFTs allow holders to play with those units in-game, where they can be ranked up to legendary status, offering improved stats over the in-game units.

Lord owners receive various perks including in-game benefits as well as priority access to future sales, airdrops, and events.

Skins are cosmetic items for units. These pre-release packs contains seven different, limited-edition, Spirit Warrior skins for the following units — Swordsman, Archer, Knight, Ninja, Squirrelcopter, and Juggernaut.

All NFTs can be traded on the Mavis Market.

What is Wild Forest?

Wild Forest is a free to play, web3-enabled, real-time strategy game, that has some similarities with old school games such as Warcraft (the original games) and Starcraft. Players start with a small base, claim areas, harvest resources, build troops, and try to destroy their opponent’s base.

Wild Forest plays a little differently however, as players need to build a deck of seven unit types before the game begins. Then, once the game starts, they can only build those units, giving the game both a strategic and a tactical layer.

Players can own NFT unit cards, which can be leveled up to create more powerful, higher tier units.

Interested players can pick up card packs on the secondary market, though they are not cheap (currently $100+)! You can also buy Lord NFTs, a founder-type PFP collection (~$650 current floor price). Lords will provide access to future sales, early access to future releases, and grant automatic castle ownership.

Wild Forest is built on the Ronin network.Players will need a Ronin-compatible wallet to use NFTs and receive rewards.

Heroes of Mavia launched their Ruby Marketplace this week, opening up the way for the trading and minting of cosmetic skins directly within the game! And though currently this marketplace is only available in-game and only accepts Ruby tokens as payment, the Heroes team has plans to build a web-based marketplace as well.

A new feature rolled out to Heroes of Mavia this week, an in-game marketplace that allows for player trading of NFTs and the minting of new NFT skins! Known as the Ruby Marketplace, this in-game trading and minting hub brings a new feature to the game and a new use-case for the Ruby token.

Ruby is an in-game token only. Players earn Ruby by fighting with other players. And now they can spend that Ruby on exclusive skins from the in-game shop! Players will need to upgrade their HQ building to level 4 before they can access the Ruby Marketplace.

The Ruby Marketplace launched with a limited edition mint of 36 different skins, one for each troop and building type in game. These items feature a “SuperMavian” color scheme, and are limited to only 500 copies of each. These skins can be equipped in-game to change the appearance of your buildings and troops.

All Legendary level items sold on the Ruby Marketplace are NFTs on the Base blockchain. Once purchased, items from the Ruby Marketplace may be traded with other players.

This initial release is only available on mobile devices, and players can only trade using Ruby tokens. However, in the near future, there will also be a web-based version that allows trading with MAVIA tokens.

What is Heroes of Mavia?

Heroes of Mavia is a free to play, mobile, base building, RTS game. Players construct and improve bases, and fight with other players to earn RUBY, the main game currency. The game features upgradeable NFTs in the form of Bases, Heroes, and Statues. Bases are the core game component, and each player needs one in order to play. Heroes and Statues are optional, but both provide substantial benefits to your team. Heroes assist your army with attack and defense, while Statues boost base production. Additionally, players can upgrade their NFTs by spending RUBY tokens.

The game also includes Gold and Oil resources. These are in-game only and used for certain base upgrades. Oil and Gold are produced by bases and can also be stolen from other players in raids. And though the primary focus is on PvP, Heroes of Mavia also offers a lengthy series of PvE missions to help players practice battles and accumulate extra resources.

Heroes of Mavia included rental mechanics into their game from the very beginning. Base owners can choose to rent out their bases to other players for passive income. This can be a fixed price rental system, or a ‘partnership’. Partnerships function as a built-in scholarship system. The base owner lets the partner run and upgrade their base in exchange for a percentage of the RUBY income.

Hereos of Mavia released in February of 2024 and is available for both iOS and Android devices.

Voxie Tactics sees a major upgrade this week as they officially launch their new game client, built with Unity. While not all functionality is available yet (such as NFT minting), the game works, players can use their NFTs, and VOXEL rewards continue to be handed out for match victories!

After many months of work, the Voxie Tactics team has finally released their rebuild of the Voxie Tactics game. This build is still the same game, and still compatible with existing Voxie NFTs. But it also brings improved graphics and stability, and supposedly, paves the way for releases of Voxie Tactics on MacOS and mobile platforms.

There is a very minor inconvenience for players. Existing players will need to re-link their accounts. Just make sure you use the same wallet you linked to the game before in order to preserve your previous game status.

Also, the Tavern and the Forge, utility pages on the Voxies Market website, are temporarily closed. The team is still integrating their functionality with the Unity build. But the player marketplace and the rental store are open and ready for use.

Now that they have the build launched in Unity, hopefully they will spend some time improving the interface and other quality of life issues. A little polish here could go a long way!

What is Voxie Tactics?

Voxie Tactics is a free to play, voxel-style, turn-based, fantasy, strategic battle game where two players field teams of three characters in a battle to the death! Arenas have arrived in Dimension X, bringing with them a chance for players to compete in evenly matched bouts for special prizes which could include crafting materials, power tokens, or even blockchain tokens!

Dimension X is free to play, so there is no barrier preventing you from jumping in and trying out their new arena mode. In fact, everyone has access to the same hero pool in arena competitions, so it doesn’t even matter if you are a brand new player!

Joining Arena quests is free. Just look for the quest with the arena icon with the X on it. Once you join, you recruit your team, place your heroes, and then wait for the results.

And while you’re waiting for the arena results, you might as well join in on some other quests! Quests in Dimension X are competitions with other players. Each quest has a time limit and a leaderboard. When the quest timer runs out, players are rewarded based on their placement on the leaderboard for that quest. Rewards are given based on overall placement, and percentage placement (ie, you get an extra reward for placing in the top 10% of players in regards to damage done). Some quests even give out rewards to all of the participants!

Players earn experience, faction points, and various resources when completing quests. This includes THUL tokens, used for minting new heroes, and Tech tokens, used to upgrade Hero powers.

Dimension X is free to play. And you can choose to play on either the Flow or the main Ethereum network. On the Flow network, you will need is a Dapper account, which can be easily set up with an Apple or Google login, or with an email address. The Ethereum side works with Metamask.

What is Dimension X?

Dimension X is a web-based strategy game that sees players setting up teams of heroes, to fight against fearsome creatures. Players assemble their teams, trying to generate the best damage combination possible and earn a spot on the quest leaderboard. Players can claim rewards based on their placement during these quest challenges.

New players start with a selection of free Heroes and can find more as they play. Heroes can only be active on one quest at a time. So checking in regularly and building a large stable of heroes will help you progress faster.

Players can earn resources, faction points, tokens, and hero experience from quests. That can also find and craft gear. Gear is bound to a hero once equipped. But it can be overwritten with new items. At the end of the season, all items and materials are deleted, but Heroes retain legacy bonuses from any equipped items as permanent enhancements to the character. This allows players to continue to grow their character power between seasons, even with item wipes!

And for those who want that extra edge, you can buy NFT heroes on both the Flow and Ethereum chains. NFT owners will need to stake their NFTs in order to use them in-game, though they can be unstaked at any time.

With character abilities, powers, affinities, gears, factions, linked squares, and more, Dimension X has plenty of room for strategic decision making and planning.
