Activision is preparing to launch a fresh battle royale map for Call of Duty: Mobile called KRAI. The last time the game saw a new battle royale map was back on September 22, 2021, with the release of the Blackout map. After nearly three years, COD Mobile players are finally getting another new map. If you’re curious about when the KRAI map will drop, keep reading to learn more.
When does KRAI map release in COD Mobile?
KRAI will officially arrive as the new battle royale map on November 11, 2024 as a part of the Season 10 update. The fifth anniversary of Call of Duty: Mobile will also be celebrated in November 2024.Â
A few months ago, the first information about a new Battle Royale map surfaced, revealed by a Chinese content creator who works closely with Call of Duty Mobile. He revealed that the developers were working on a new BR map, although no further details were available at the time. Originally, the developers had planned to reveal the new BR map at the last CoD Next event, but this was delayed due to force majeure.
Even though official confirmation was missing, the developers surprisingly released the new “Find Makarov” Alcatraz event a few days ago, giving players a first look at the BR map and its POIs after completing small tasks.
COD Mobile KRAI map features
According to the official announcements so far, the KRAI map is said to be larger than Alcatraz but smaller than Blackout. The best part is it’s specifically designed for both close-quarters MP and long-range BR players.
The map features various animals such as birds and chickens, as well as a diverse range of POIs, including Tranquility Parish, Safari Land, Animal Play Park, Night Station, Thistledown Village, Industrial Park, and Principia Sanatorium.
In the new trailer, as well as the map layout, a train station, train tracks, and moving trains can be seen. The train station was first shown in a past trailer for the upcoming “Freed Dust” character skin, possibly indicating that players will be able to use the train for the first time in BR mode to get from one place to another.
